Hello friends!
I decided that I am a terrible blogger, I started my blog July 1st and haven't written a post since! Hopefully I'll get better at it :).
There have just been such a whirlwind of things going on in my life in the past month and a half! I moved into a house in downtown Fayetteville, and I love it! It's an older house, so it is quite cozy and has lots of character. It has a great back patio too, so friends, please come over and enjoy it with me! My painting endeavors, however, failed miserably. I only bought enough paint for one coat in the bathroom, which desperately needs another. I also bought way too much paint for the tables, which have yet to dry and needs a different type of paint altogether. In fact, they are still so tacky that if you set something on top, it sticks and pulls paint off the table. Oh well, you learn as you go.
Work has been going very well too! I'm gaining momentum with many of my clients, and I was even Employee of the Week last week! Haha, crazy, I know! I had a couple good web sales all at once, so I got a nice little thank you from the company. It's amazing how just a little encouragement like that can make a person feel really special and valued. I definitely want to keep up good work! This job is very rewarding, and worth it.
And of course, there have been weddings/engagements galore! I have several good friends with weddings coming up through next Fall! I am also honored to be a bridesmaid in both one of my best friends growing up, Lauren Sullivant's wedding (who is a much better blogger than I) in May, and also one of my best friends from college, Leslie Anderson's wedding in January. In fact, Leslie just got engaged last week! So excited for her and Drew. It truly is a blessing to have friends that have played such important roles in my life, and they want me to be there to share and support them on their special day.
Honestly, speaking of friends, I was thinking about this the other day....it started when I was at the Tridelt House Friday night for the Alumni Dinner. I looked around and looked at the girls who were preparing for Rush this week (on a side note, I wish them a very wonderful Rush Week) and I was envious. Not because I haven't had that experience, but because I truly cherish my memories so much, I wish I could have savored them more while I was living it. The memories of have with friends through high school and college are so priceless, and they are the happiest times of my life! I can only pray that God continues to bless me with such happiness in my future!
Now I got all mushy with this stuff, I apologize for that. Sometimes I go off in some direction and it takes a minute to reign me back in! So, on that note, I'll conclude this second post, partially because tomorrow morning will come very early!
Goodnight my friends!
